Doing a practice essat but got a mindblank. Does anyone know why Girlie wants the farm? I reckon its because of Lyle's fanancial situation. Can someone share thier opinions?
-
Some Points:
-->Girlie considers Lyle to be a good farmer... and he has never been given a 'fair go.' Even though Lyle has been single-handedly running the farm and his family into 'bankruptcy,' Girlie is ignorant of this. She sees Lyle to be an 'unlucky' farmer in Mallee.
--> Lyle is Girlie's only child, and the only one she considers worth of the Allandale property.
--> Girlie bases her belief on the fact that Allandale should remain in the family and that those who work the land should be most entitled to it. (They don't consider Nugget as family because he's black LOL)
Sorry for the late reply.
To some extent, Girlie also wants the farm because of the financial hardship she and her side of the family are in.
