Title: Random allocation vs random sampling?

i'm not sure about what the difference is between the two.

random sampling is when every member of the population has an equal chance of being chosen as a participant in the study

random allocation is when every member of the sample has an equal chance of being put in either the experimental or control group

Random Allocation also allows participant differences to be equally distributed amongst both the experimental and control group.
