Apart from methods, my remaining exams are all in the 3pm-5:15pm bracket and was wondering what types of food I should be looking to have for lunch that will hold me in good stead. I remember last year before Legal Studies I had a subway but that probably wasn't the wisest choice (didn't affect me or anything). Anyway, any suggestions? Thanks a lot.!.

Fruits are good. Particularly apples. If you need to eat something substantial have cheese and biscuits at around 12. Make sure that the biscuits are fairly low in salt content, and multi-grain if possible. Foods affect my level of drowsiness heaps, but the things I've listed tend to be safe.

I would just stick to what I normally eat. i.e. not trying anything that I don't usually eat.
If you don't normally eat sushi, don't eat sushi before the exams :P

1 hour b4 exam
2 red bulls and and apple :P

I agree with dekoyl's comment. Try to find out well before the day, what foods do and don't suit you.
I had my English Language exam in that time bracket yesterday, and I did two things - I ate something that I knew worked great for me (pasta) and I took a nap from about 12.45-2pm so that I was absolutely wide awake and working at my peak from 3-5.15pm (which is when I usually feel sleepy!).

EAT PIZZA SHAPES.

yer i hate that! why does legal have to start at THREE. that's when i lay back on the couch, get in a lazy mode and watch tv while eating chips.

I am in the same position! Have methods which I don't care about... and:
IT - 3
Legal - 3
I personally love this, as I can stay up late, sleep till 11-12. Eat breakfast, then fast food @ 2. :)

I'd advise against eating fast food of any sort right before your exam, it wont make u feel that well.

Okies, thanks for the advice.
All I know is that in English and Accounting my stomach starts rumbling like 30 mins to the end... argh! haha.

For my lunch time slot exams, 11:45am - 1:30pm, I've been eating a muesli bar and grating myself an apple (worried I would throw up a regular apple :P)

Eating before exams will draw bloodflow from your brain to your digestive system. Personally, I'd usually brave out the hunger - I don't get sleepy, or lose concentration because of it.

would energy drinks be wise to consume before the exam??
-
I've never understood this need to have energy drinks before exams, english maybe because it's in the morning and is 3 hours long, but i really don't think there's a huge benefit in it besides a placebo effect

Eat some low GI foods a few hours before the exam so that you don't start to feel hungry during the exam.
Wholegrain sandwich with some ham and cheese (and perhaps lettuce, tomato etc) would suit the bill IMHO.
