Title: Chatroom Event: Results Day
Post by: Collin Li on December 01, 2007, 03:49:30 pm
Hey, December 17th is nearing, and this year we're all going to be meeting up in IRC (chat) the night before to freak out right up until 7am when we get our results.

Be there... or be square  >:(  8)

Click the CHAT button up the top to be a part of it.

For people with their own IRC clients:

IRC network: irc.villageirc.net
Channel: #vce

For more directions, goto the IRC thread here. Don't be afraid to check out IRC now, a lot of FSNer's visit daily :)

This event is on the forum calendar, check it out!

Ha ha, an all-nighter? I think I'd rather not get myself so nervous! I'll be sure to join you all on IRC once I know my result tho, now that I've finally figured out how to make my firewall tolerate IRC XD

Hopefully I'll have integrated FSN's very own flashchat into the site by then and we can do away with IRC. :)

Hmm... I think I'd prefer IRC, it feels more like home to me :P Get a dedicated server and host a irc.freestudynotes.com instead, and make Flashchat connect to that, haha!

I don't like FlashChat too much, I definitely prefer IRC :)
But yeah, I write the FlashChat integration mod for SMF :D

I think I might just sleep lol, well try to at least ;D, I'm not that worried about my enter... just as long as it's above 90 I'll be happy, and that will get me into my course =]
Oh and I don't know how to use the IRC thing anyways ...

I've never done an all-nighter.
I might try it for that day if enough other people will :D

I probably won't do an all-nighter. I'll either sleep at 3am and miss the whole thing, or sleep early and try to wake up at 6am, but the latter seems so unlikely, haha.

I've had horrible all-nighters... *remembers his QM assignment*

I think I'd roll over and die going 3 nights

I'm very good at waking up early (and being 100% awake), will most likely do that :)

Indeed :P

For anyone that doesn't know how to use the IRC, just go to http://vce-chat.us.to/, choose a username, and then it should work fine :)

=O

I'm jealous! I get super-tired if I get less than 8 hours sleep. Though I can't remember the last time I got more than 7 hours sleep loll maybe that's why I'm so tired all the time =p

Is anyone gonna wait til the letter arrives? I'm thinking I might do that. Just cos I'm not brave enough to check on the net lol

Ha ha, I'm the same. 8 hours or I'm cranky, tired and unproductive. I was considering waiting for the letter, and a few of my friends are, but I think I'd rather get into the online atmosphere and join everyone when we all find out our results.

I can't stand to not get my results when I know they are available.

The trick I posted in the UMEP thread is all this effort only to get your results 12 hours earlier than normal. The only reason why I bother is because I know about it! I can't stand knowing that my results are accessible but I haven't looked at them.

Lol yeh I read that today at work because no one actually comes in for breakfast at Hungry Jacks haha. All articles about VCE say the same thing "its not the end of the world" kind of message. I kind of get the point by now lol

Well, that's not going to be a very accurate measure of the typical experience of the year 12 experience, but interesting!

Yep lol. Tommorow (conincidently) is supposed to be my last shift (I resigned) after 27 months but I might choose to stay on as casual.

The letter will feel more like the real deal cause I can touch my Study Scores =)

If we are hysterical with our results and in a fit of rage tear up the letter can we get a replacement? lol

The letter usually comes a day later. The GAT results are about the only thing new you'll find in your letter. My friend was tearing her hair out when she got 50 on the written component of her GAT, but only a high 30s in English.
