I personally enjoyed it.
No dramas, the design analysis was pretty easy.
How about everyone else???
-
i ran out of time, it was a long exam, i did finish it all but i had to rush it all heaps to get it done, i left the theory til last because im pretty good at it but i had to rush it so much you probably cant even read it, i didnt like the stupid pattern thing for the sign, what did you do for pattern karaleah?? hopefully i got full marks for orthogranal and planometric, i had a feeling we were gunna get planometric :)
-
Nailed it, but i was panicing on orthogonal, caus ei drew the wrong view didnt read it properly =p
but i finsihed with 10-20 mins spare... SO MUCH DRWAING THIS YEAR so less theory, but none the less, i hope their drawing standards dont heighten. i think i aced it depending on how asessors like my reponses lol...
cant remember.. i think it was b and c.. did question 1 and 2 in 30 seconds, free marks ^_^

i just tagged it up LOL

I know! i hated that too! but i did one of those red and white warning signs you see at the beach. I suppose that is a 'pattern' because th line repeats itself.

I know some of the short answer were a give away. The ones that accompanied the end design were easy.
-
i thought the short answers were easy this year pitty i didnt get to actually do them properly :(
my copic pen exploded all over my sign design, i almost cried. do you think they will mark me down for it? or be nice and understand that no person in there right mind would intentionally do that??

OMG! I would have died!
No i dont think they would. a note to the examiners explaining what happened on the side. but then again, to sure.
I loved the federation square poster.
-
i hated that poster, if you can call it that

yay i did b and c for question 2 although 2.b was a tricky one.
It was a very easy exam in my perspective, i finished with 20 minutes to spare. The billboard one for the marine Fins on the last question, i put like some dot pattern because i didn't read we had to put it there so 10 mins before end of time i put it in... lucky.
The orthogonal was pretty easy i must admit. Amm no dramas. Also for the second last question, question 8 i.e., i colored it in would they care or nah? Like fins i colored yellow for example etc to show contrast. so black on white, yellow on red etc.
anyways, VCD is OVER. i had like NO stress at all prior to entering the room. I thought i'd be at least a bit nervous but i wasn't... weird.
hopefully i can get over 42!

also, did anyone put a hole on the key? this is ROUGHLY how mine looked:

i'm pretty sure it was like caved in on both ends so hand could pick up the key?
how did you guys draw it?
-
ohhhhhhhhh fuck, my key was the other way :o
liek this...
-
yeah mine was a hole not that it will mean anything considerng how i drew it.... does anyone have the exam?
-
hrmm i'm not too sure what way it should stand up but i think i lost a mark for not drawing that little line to show a hole. The only reason i drew it flat was because the orthogonal drawings of it were flat thus i would presume that they are expecting us to draw it flat. However i'm not certain.

i did it the same as you! but i think the 'hole' wasnt a hole at all. i think it was supposed to be rising from the key. On the third angle orthoganal front view, it showed where it rose. if i remember correctly. not sure
-
but it was a key... keyhole...... i doubt it would have come out from the key...
can anyone post the exam?
-
well from the left side view i am sure i saw dotted lines down the middle. So i guess there was a hole. But then again not including it wouldnt hurt much. That exam was pretty long. I aced the drawing parts but took me longer on the analysis of those pictures. Overall i think i did quite well.
-
i think i did ok. i finished everything but again, i was rushed. although , i think i stuffed up in the logo question cuz it asked for emm letterform and contrast emphazism and i just made the fins word bigger and have a big fish next to a small star fish. i forgot to colour in the black background for the stick figures. i rushed all the analysis so i don't even noe what i wrote but i certainly don't like that poster cuz i reckon that was gay. that question 2 pisses me off to , sitting there , trying to work out where the patter go so i guessed the number 2 cuz i rather spend my time doing the key thing , i finished that under like 5 minutes although it was mixed between hand drawn and like instrumental drawn
-
joan, what way did you draw the key?
-
would you think that if i drew fish big to small would be hierarchy? or like a heading with like F big tehn I smaller and N smaller and S smallest?

Fuck mine was vertically done.
-
i swear to god, t heir arrows and light direction are so UNCLEAR.
-
shit yeah onlyfknhuman i did mine vertical too :D im not alone!!
-
i draw the same key or the same position as the emm onlyfknhuman. thank god i got it right, did it under 5minutes hehehe
