Title: Script book accessibility - implied?
Post by: joshuamorgan on October 27, 2007, 12:22:03 pm
Hi there,

I have two exams this year - VCE VET Info Tech and Business Management. Whilst I know that a script book is available for the Business Management exam, there is no mention of being able to use on for my VET IT exam... The VET IT exams in the past have also had no extra space in the question and answer book. Will I have access to a script book in the VET IT exam should I need one?

Cheers,

J.

I don't think so, but you shouldn't need a script book. On the unit 3 exam in Psych I went way over the alloted space for one of the questions, but there was heaps of white empty space for me to write on. You can even write on the back cover if you think it necessary. That should be enough.

OK. Just thought I'd ask because it would be better/neater to use a script book as opposed to white space.

Yeah, that's definitely true. I'm not 100% sure about the scriptbooks (though I doubt they are provided because I've been told I can request more in Eco and Li, but not in any of my other subjects), so maybe it's a good idea to email VCAA.

yeah i was wondering the same thing with script books for french!
i'm assuming i could get one if i needed it (we have to write an essay and i always run out of room) but i don't know
with the subjects that do have script books available (someone said eco and lit), is that written on the front page of the exam?

Can you order script books from VCAA to be used at home for practice.

It might sound a bit lame. But i reckon it could help give you familiarity on the day.

for the french essay?? are you serious? how big is your writing? they can take marks off if u write too much over the limit! i wouldnt go over like 330, 350 max. surely you can pretty easily fit that in the booklet?

No.

I do not do French. Maybe for English. It is just that my writing is so messy and not neat.

haha no, i don't do like a 500 word essay or anything, i just have a really scribbly way of planning that ends up taking up about 2 pages...and it sounds stupid but i don't like to do plans on the lined paper because i think it would make it harder to mark. i guess i just need to learn to plan smaller! 2 days to go wooooooo!
