Title: how did everyone go??
Post by: scumel on November 13, 2008, 06:16:51 pm
i thought the short answers were quite fair, only strange one was how do human rights impact foreign policy, but even that was doable.
surprised at the essay topics, given their similarity to the 2006 and 2007 exams. i ran out of time for the essays though, i did FP first and then W to C - consequentally my w to c essay was terrible. only just finished it, hardly had any structure...yuck :(
but yeh other than that, it was ok i thought.

I'm the opposite.
I thought  afew of the short answer questions were a little random [for lack of a better word], but I loved the essay topics, though they were very similar to past exams.
I finished the short answer in like 25 minutes, so I had heaps of time for my essays?

Which ones did everyone pick?
Unit 3 - I did the W to C as well, the one about elections
Unit 4 - I did foreign policy too.. about the american alliance

Overall, I though the exam was very doable though :)

It's going to be interesting to see wat % did  Question 1 essay (Wash-Can) and then Question 2 (Foreign Policy). Last year only 57% did Wash and a huge 79% did Foreign Policy. I did these 2 and cant even remeber the other topics....but overall i thought it was a really good exam. The seperation Question was defiently Human Rights and Foreign Policy and offcourse the essays will also seperate the marks.

I was fine with the essay for Unit 3 - I chose W to C.

But I studied only for Public Policy for my essay...so when I saw the terrible essay question, I panicked and did the foreign policy essay question. Therefore, my second essay was total garbage. :S

Oh well.
And I thought the short answer question were okay.

I'd done that too! I'd pretty much only studied for domestic policy, and hten i saw the question and i was like wtf?? so I did foreign policy instead, though I thought that question was pretty easy to rattle off crap for.. :)
