I got a 36, which got scaled down to 32.31.

I'm really surprised at my score. I've gotten A+ all year for media but I got B+ in the exam. I've got no idea where I stuffed up because I thought I did decently after my exam.

This will be the EXACT same reaction as so many of the VCE population from right around the state this morning.

I've ordered my Statement of Marks, so I'll post it here when I receive it and let you know what exact mark was needed to get a 50. :)

Oh really? How do you know that? How much did they change by?

You can't exactly tell.

But generally if you go to a less pro school, you have to be ranked number one in your SACs or be prepared to have your SAC scores scaled down, due to your cohort doing poorly on the exam.

English, A+ went to B+

Miine went to an A, although I'm assuming it's a really low A. :P

i go to a school regarded as less privileged and i was ranked second with the whole cohort being sorry to say, dumb, and essentially getting 49 so ya. but i understand where you are coming from.

EDIT: but thing is, wouldn't i get the exam scores of the second highest rank person as my sac scores right? then why did i get her exam mark which would be quite low since she got 43 and i still managed an average score?

Exam mark controls everything, really.

Get a high exam mark, they'll give you a high score.

Get a perfect exam score in any subject, you'll get a 50 regardless of SAC scores.

how much marks do you think i would have lost in the exam to get a 46?

No. A score of 50 is just reserved for the top very small percentage, what if more then this amount get 100%? Surely, they cant all get 50s cuz that wont fit the bell curve.

Just all A+'s. I can't help you out anymore than that because i didn't get marks back during the year. It was really annoying and that's why (looking back on my response in this thread last year) i was so excited to get over 40. Haha.
