Well, I guess now you have your ENTER, the next step is to go through the VTAC guide and change any preferences if need be (we have until the 22nd of December to change prefs, yay)

Universities do hold Change of Preference information lectures which you can attend, and some have COP help hotlines. Information here:

La Trobe COP
Deakin COP
Swinburne
University of Melbourne
Monash University
Victoria University
Australian Catholic University
RMIT
University of Ballarat

Yep ^_^ ... Oh don't know how relevant this is but.... would anyone be able to help me with something...
When do I re-enrol for next year at VU? I asked the Course Coordinator and she didn't help me much... referred me to someone in admissions/enrolment and she didn't help either... would anyone have an idea where I could go to find out?
Thanks...

I get emails sent to my ANU email account telling me when enrolment is open (think it opened on the 2nd, so two weeks ago). No idea how it works at VU.

Wat about the course open days?

Yeah you can attend those... they're usually a week before o-week I believe, that's when it was for ACU.. but each uni is different... that information is normally on the letter of acceptance from the University.

Yeah it is. You don't have to enroll now.
They'll send you an offer letter with information on how to enroll in Jan

if you change preferences does that disadvantage you.
eg. Person A wants to do arts at UoM and sticks to it
Person B wanted to do science but changes to arts.

then what happens? is Person A in queue first.

what if Person B gets a higher ENTER?

That's not how it works.

Changing preferences during Change of Preference period does not bring u in or out of favour with a university in any way wotsoeva.

maybe a ridiculous question ...just say you put medicine as first, you get your interview result and you are successful. but then you decide to do a double degree law/comm?

 can you change?

or is it when you fill out your UMAT/ preferences you must sign to do med?

You can alter your VTAC preferences regardless of what you've put down, provided you don't go and add a course which has extra requirements other than the ENTER (e.g. an interview or portfolio.) So you wouldn't be able to put medicine down at the last minute for example, or a course like interior design.

edit: oh wait, did you mean "can you change after an offer has been made?"...

Yeah... I was confused as well! XD

That's drifting off in2 "Irregular Offer" territory... my friend successfully requested and received an irregular offer last year actually - she got a much lower ENTER than expected and so didn't really think the order of her 5th - 12th prefs would matter all that much when it turned out that they did.
