I just renewed my membership for the 2008/09 season. General Admission student $86. :)
Gives me admission to 11 home games plus some other goodies and stuff yay
Anyone else a Victory member? Have you renewed yet?
-
I'm thinking of being a member, but most likely I'd probably go and cheer for fun :P
-
how does the sums work out if u dont have a membership?
-
Well, I'll assume your less than 18 years old.
I'm pretty sure it's $15 a ticket unless your 16 or younger or something, so for 11 games that's $165, plus you get these things below...
2008.09 Membership Kit
By becoming a member you receive entry into 11 Home games at Telstra Dome as well as these other great benefits:
* Membership Season ticket
* Lanyard & Pouch
* Season 08.09 Member Stickers*

* Fixture Magnet*
* Weekly club emails
* Invitations to Member only events
* Automatic membership of Football Family (need to supply email)
* Access to exclusive monthly Members only merchandise specials
* Club Yearbook
Plus extra for:
Students
* Melbourne Victory Scan Radio
It really is worth it, the cost of a membership is a bargain

Melbourne Victory no thankyou
Perth Glory yes please
-
Why Perth Glory? Are you from Perth? Or just a fan of NSL? lol
-
I'll probably go to a few games here and there, so there's no real point in getting a membership.
In saying that, JUMP FOR MELBOURNE VICTORY! OLE! OLE!
-
yep got one. Way too many headaches with Melbourne Victory this year off the field. Its funny seeing that afew Melbourne Victory Forumites are on here aswell
-
lol do you notice me from the forum?
What do you mean "way too many headaches with Melbourne Victory this year off the field"?
-
Yes i mean you and kopite. Think i sore another floating around before.
With the headaches off the field it is the FFA (football federation australia) and HEM (home end membership)
The fact that an external body that specialises in port security has stepped in to do a risk assessment on A-League matches is diguisting. The FFA can't handle that supporters are an external force and can build power and eventually have an influence on the club and its operations is scary. The fact that the "little man" has taking power and is "ruining" the franchise run clubs that exist at the moment frightens the FFA.

read the last two editions, great insight into the situation and why it is bad for supporters
-
I don't really care, it doesn't affect me as I sit on 3rd level anyways. If people are gonna whinge about the situation then they can leave and stop supporting the club.

why should we stop supporting the club when the club is doing what it can to support our situations. They understand that we are a valuable resource and they sore last season due to lack of atmosphere (and crap football) the crowds and potentially profits dropped off. That could be why the price of the membership went up last season? Club not making enough money through ticket sales, so they had to bump prices to accomodate
-
Yeh but if someone told you its gonna be like this whether you like it or not, then do you go to the games or boycott the games. The boycott at the first match was just stupid, a supporter turns up week in week out regardless of the circumstances.
I love active support, I dont agree with the FFA's stance... but people whinging and threatening to boycott can go get fucked. They can go sit at home and watch it and miss out on the entertainment at the ground
-
there hsn't been a boycott, we have attended matches but just hvn't supported actively. But i agree a boycott can be stupid sometimes, but sometimes seeing an empty terrace can be a beautiful sight sometimes. Unfortunately in australia no groups have such control over an area where they can keep it empty for a whole game

Wow! What a game tonight!!!
Theo got sent of dubiously for 'stomping' on Petrovski's foot or something early in the 2nd half locked at 1-1. Around 85th minute, matt simon (central coast) headers in a goal. BUT THEN
ARCHIE THE FUCKEN LEGEND SCORES WITH 4 SECONDS LEFT TO DRAW IT UP :D
