Title: Help adding clips to my itunes
Post by: psychlaw on August 26, 2008, 08:34:02 pm
I don't know how to add clips to my itunes library. This is how I do it but it doesn't work. I click FILE then I click  add file to library, I then locate the clip from the shared folder and click "OPEN" on the browser thing... then it closes the browser and goes back to itunes but the movie doesn't add to my itunes :(... It works when I add songs so whats up with the movies

am I doing anything wrong? Thanks

What format are they? iTunes doesn't support .avi, if that's what you're trying to add.

It supports .mp4, .m4a, .m4v and .mov containers.

If you are trying to add those formats, try opening the file in Quicktime, and it might give you an error message, so you can see what's happening.

Yes, there are various free programs that let you do this. The one I use is Internet Video Converter.

Just go into the transcoder section and it's pretty self explanatory.
