I decided to lighten up the somewhat tense mood on the boards at the moment and create a thread where we could all laugh and reminisce on some of the best debates/rants witnessed on VN.
I do not want this thread to become a place where people roar up these debates again. If they have been locked it is for good reasons so don't take it in your stride to try and fire up the dead threads through this means. This is purely a place where YOU can rank your favourite debates/rants and hopefully use this as reconciliation.
These are MY top 10:) What are yours?
1.Do you believe in god? (locked)-My favourite debate ever! A classic and I still don't think anyone can prove either way for or against :D
2.Abortion Legislation - is it truly pro-choice-13 pages of fun fun fun!!! :D
3.Trusting people is shit (The rant about Mao not giving Mel's notes back)
4.Immigration Restrictions-A fiery battle to say the least!
5.Fat people have the right to a free 2nd seat: Court-This was a very interesting and recent argument.
6.What price minimum wage?-Hits a nerve with the young workforce!
7.WTF!!!- Rudd to bring back compulsory Study Unionism in 2009!!!-This one hits a nerve with the inbound and current University students
8.Global warming propaganda-Current issue for the last few years
9.Why the poor don't deserve government life support-Life Vs money
10.Saying sorry to Indigenous Australians-The potential consequences of saying sorry

what's happened to our little microcosm (all this bickering and bitching)?..........oh well i guess it couldn't last forever.....all good things must come to an end...I'm glad I was apart of VN when it was in its prime

Im glad i was a VN member, when heated debates were highly intellectual and rational, rather than the now, slang and un-informed member-fueled attacks.

Those were the days.
I've changed my stance in relation to the minimum wages thread, partially due to the highly intellectual debate that went on.

I wouldn't say its Life Vs Money. I would say its Freedom to choose vs State paternalism
