Title: CBD restaurants!!!
Post by: ice_blockie on February 12, 2009, 08:59:18 pm
I need help to find a good restaurant. Some requirements:

- must accept bookings for around 15 people
- priced around $30 per person (I am paying it for myself so I will not go to Crown...)
- must be able to accomodate everyone on the same table (i.e. in a row not separate ones)
- Melbourne CBD
- Mediterranean/Aussie cuisine
- must have nice atmosphere
- not a bar

Anyone know anything to help me?? Thanks

Medici's  (docklands) is quite nice and should be able to take that booking. $50 for a three course meal. Mixture of italian and aussie cuisine.

How about Stalactites in the City? I think it is a Greek restaurant and food is great. And is a must for bookings - It gets really crowded at peak hours.. You should be able to get $30 per person...

I would love to afford that but I would have to fork out $750... = my total savings gah! But I'll keep that in mind if I suddenly come into some cash...

There's a few nice places on Southbank, but you'd be struggling to get 15 people on a table in most of them...

Um, if your still looking, i work at Berth in docklands.
We are Modern Australian, so we have everything.
We are extremly reasonably priced and there are different set menu's to choose from. I think the cheapest is like $20 per head. - could be wrong though.

And yes, we can fit 15 on one table. I was looking after a hens nite tonight, there was about 25 on one table.

Yeah i am. How many 17 years old can say yeah i work behind a bar? LOL

We always hire dead beats off the street.
For each person they hire to complete a certificate in hospitality, my boss receives $1,000 from the gov.
At the end of the day, were little pawns in his scheme LOL.
At the same time though, i have such a good time working there lol.

mine are good. because they know im doing yr 12 there very flexible with me. ANd my manager she is very school orientated, she says to me, school comes first before work, esp in yr 12, so any problems let me know.

I only work friday and saturday nights, i tld them i dont want to work sunday's anymore c0z thats my 'hw days' bullshit anyway, i sleep all day sunday lmao.

Other than that, yeah ive got it pretty good.
I dont have the best social life anymore coz im always at work, but after work us boys go for a couple of knock off drinks so i cant really complain LOL.
