Ok - so I went out to EB Games and picked up FIFA 09 (legally!) for $50. I was really looking forward to play manager mode so as soon as I got home I installed it.
The installation was perfectly fine - the game added to desktop and then I went to click it to play HOWEVER I got the following message:
"The game can not start. The game needs access to the internet in order to verify ownership of this game. Please ensure that your computer is online and try again."
OK - my internet is definitely online and working fine. I use wireless and have windows xp. I've shut off all firewalls and its still not working. Does anyone know how to fix this problem??? Greatly appreciated, its causing a lot of annoyance.
