Anyone interested? I have in mind K-Box karaoke near Melbourne Central, which is cheap, accessible and has a wide range of songs. Dinner afterwards as well.
As a tentative date, let's say 3rd of July, next Friday. ^^

Sounds like it could be fun :)

I walked pas that joint one day and thought "That would be a good place for a VN meet". Sounds like fun.

Didn't Mao host one there before?

^^Yeah, he did, I think.
Anyway, I'll start making an Attendance list then. :)

If by host you meant organise, then yes. I've done a few before.
But I strongly recommend NOT friday. It's more expensive. The existing package is 3PM~8PM on a weekday (not friday) for $18 (if I recall correctly)

In my experience people end up...dying by the end of that package, and it means you have to use the crappier International rooms anyway. Given that VN seems to have a lot of Anime fans, I don't really want to pass up on the opportunity to have Jap songs on offer. =/ I think the CyberDAM ones have more Chinese songs as well, if people can sing those? o_O The downstairs CyberDAM rooms are the same price on Fridays, as well (and in fact, if we do go for the full five hours and we have ten people we would still pay 50 cents less than the $18 package).

(ignore the up to 10p, up to 20p thing. It doesn't really work like that ^_~)
Well, we'll see what the potential turnout is like. In my experience you can fit about 15 people comfortably in the downstairs non-room 9 ones. If we get more than that, (or if there is really significant demand for the larger rooms o_O), we'll change. ^^

Update: Postponed. Went to K-Box yesterday, and it turns out the place is getting renovated downstairs, so we're forced into using the deal Mao was talking abot no matter what...
