That's like how Western Australians are annoyed with the mining tax, because it would benefit people from other states and apparently the mineral resources belong to them by virtue of the fact that said minerals happen to be in Western Australia. Last time I checked, Australia was a (at least somewhat united) country.

That status is probably de-friend worthy. (I hate it when my feed has those kinds of comments!)
