Title: How to approach this essay topic?
Post by: xtremeownage on August 12, 2011, 09:17:35 pm
A Christmas Carol:
'Scrooges change of heart owes more to guilt thank compassion' Discuss. (SAC QUESTION).

Point i would include:
-That the change result from more than guilt than compassion - the ghosts inform Scrooge of his actions therefore resulting in guilt in Scrooge, however he does develop compassion towards people such as the misfortunate towards the end due to knowledge and guilt that he was witnessed throughout the various staves. This is demonstrated in the last stave where Scrooge buys a turkey for the Cratchits household. However, compassion is first witnessed in the stave where the kids hide underneath the robe of the ghost and he asks whether he can help them/

This is what i think, however i need some more unique points that will differentiate my ideas from other students.
Thank you.
