hey guys
taking NaOH + HCl ---> NaCl + H2O as an example
If you're given both the Calibration Factor and the Heat Capacity value, would it matter which one you used to find delta H
Like can I use each one individually, i.e. delta H =Cp x m x change in temp/number of mol
and delta H = CF x change in temp / number mol
or is one better than the other :S
also my friend was saying that to find the delta H you need to find the Total joules released by reaction by adding the (heat gained by solution) to the (Heat gained by calorimeter) and then dividing by the number of mol...
i.e. (Cp x m x change in temp) + (CF x change in temp) / number of mol
thats incorrect yeah? :S
