Well I'm one of the few students who selected Food tech because I love cooking regardless of the subject's reputation of being harshly scaled down....
So here's the story...
My teacher said that the deadline for the folio was Monday last week. I didn't go to school on Monday because I didn't feel like it. I rocked up the next day ready to hand in my folio without any med certificate.. Next thing you know the teacher said that I'm going to fail food tech... What's unfair was some students had the second chance to do it.. Then when I asked for another chance when clearly I finished my folio, he said you might just get an S but without any grades.... "Arsehole" or what? Seems unfair to me

I don't know about your school, but my school makes it pretty damn clear that we have to have a medical certificate for an absence, and especially so if we miss an outcome that day. You can't just skip school because you don't want to go.
Of course there are procedures in place if you can't make an outcome for whatever reason (notify the teacher before or on the day [depending on the circumstance]), but it seems you didn't follow them. I suspect that those other students followed the correct procedures.
As I understand it the teacher hasn't done anything wrong. I don't know the full details, but I think you were in the wrong here.

I'm confused as to why you would skip a day because you 'didn't feel like it' when you knew you had an assignment due. The teacher probably thought you stayed home to get an extension.
If you think you have a case appeal it. But I can't see any question so I assume you are merely venting.
Good luck, either way.

Unfortunately I concur with laseredd. However, I reckon if you reasoned with your teacher, explained your mistake and admitted it, and explain how this was simply a one-off mistake and you would not do it again, you could convince your teacher to give you an extension.
