hi has anyone been to any engage lectures before? if so are they any good or will i be wasting my time and money going?

I went to the one in July, covering all of Unit 3. It was really good revision, they went through all of the aspects of the Unit 3 course with detailed notes, however didn't spend heaps of time specifically on exam technique considering it was a whole day thing (though the lecturer offered to send us the Powerpoint he was using throughout the day by email which had a bit more on exam technique we didn't get to cover during the day due to time constraints). Probably because it was in July, so the end of year ones would probs have a different focus :) They also gave out revision questions and a Unit 3 practice exam.
But the lecturer I had was really knowledgeable and approachable which is always a plus! He was a past assessor I think he mentioned and current author of practice exams for BM as well as head of commerce at his school.
So overall I found the one I went to good (though I can't remember it completely now because it was awhile ago haha)- shouldn't be a waste of money but I can't guarantee that because I have no idea what the end of year ones are like! :P

My experience with Business lectures last year:
Best- VCTA, CPAP
Good- Engage
Average- TSFX, TSSM (too many pages of notes that were largely irrelevant)

Awesome! Already planned to go a CPAP lecture in October! :)

I would like to add that just because you got a 50 study score the previous year, doesn't make you a good teacher!
In saying that Engage also has some examiners that are presenters.

CPAP LECTURE CLASHES WITH ENGLISH VATE...
I went to both CPAP and VATE when I did VCE.. And CPAP trumps VATE by a long shot. Definitely go to that one instead. The bus man presenter was my teacher and she was godly. On the other hand, I found the VATE presentations were all extremely broad and vague. Didn't give me any new insight into my texts or exam that I hadn't already heard a million times before. Definitely go to CPAP instead of VATE I'd say..
