In multiple choice, often there is a question involving hyperbolas and finding the equations of the asymptotes, given in a general form without y as the subject, i.e.
and
Might be an option in the multiple choice exam.
On the calculator is there a function one can execute with the parameters being an equation of the form y=x and have the calculator rearrange the expression to the general form y-x=0? The algebraic manipulation is something I'd like to be avoiding if I can get a CAS method to perform the routine for me.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Messed up copying out the equation, fixed.
