I circled E, then circled D cos of an afterthought. AAARR! So I just got 39 I guess..

no calculations required. common sense really. first part of the stack are the thick magazines. therefore the first part of the graph will be steeper. trust brah trust

thats closer to 6 than 5.8, pretty sure it's E

Try using population standard deviation.
See those links.

The wording of the qn hints that it is just asking stdev of those readings, hence it would be population? (D)

but i'm thinking and hoping sample :) (E)
