If you enter something on the N-spire and it keeps coming up as an approximate value how do you convert it to exact if that's what the question is asking for?
-
I just get rid of all the decimals and convert it them to fractions, then you should automatically get an exact answer.
-
not sure bout nspire but on Ti-89 u can go to mode-Exact/Approx and change it then press enter
-
On the Ti-snpire, you can go into the setting menu, then under general change the calculation mode to
Auto - if there is a decimal point in what you entered you get a decimal, if not you get a fraction
Exact - fractions
Approximate - decimals
I normally leave mine on auto, and if I want a decimal, just use [Menu] [2] [1] to convert it to decimal.
-
You can type in exact( .... ) where '...' is where you put your decimal answer.
