Title: Further Mathematics - How are the exams marked?
Post by: balkis on November 06, 2011, 02:40:59 pm
Hi guys,

This might sound like a stupid question, but i'm only in year 11 and i don't know how this exam thing works. I just done my Further Math Exam 1 (Multiple choice) and i'm going to attempt my exam 2 tomorrow. I know that the exams are 66% of your study score, but how do they figure out the score? Do they average out the two exams? If anyone knows that would be handy. BTW i believe i may have got 6 wrong in the EXAM 1...due to careless mistakes! How shattering -.-

Thanks in advanced,

Mark

I'm not to sure either, however instead, here is an SS estimator that will be more helpful to you.

Your probably worried about what your SS will end up being - so this might calm or make you more stressed.

Input your scores e.t.c and see what comes up. The stats can be found on the vcaa website. GA1 is exam 1, GA2 is unit 3/4 coursework and GA3 is exam 2. Im pretty sure from what I remember. If you need any help just ask.

All credit to Mao for this estimator.

SACS: 34%
Exam 1: 33%
Exam 2: 33%

In case anyone is wondering, it's actually:

GA1: SACs
GA2: Exam 1
GA3: Exam 2
