Are these on the study design? I was reading kyzoo's Spesh Tips and I saw he had included advice about conveyor belt questions but there are none in my textbook and I have never done one before.
I just read the question on VCAA 2005, I was just wondering if anyone had some other worked examples for these kinds of questions. Do you think they would get any harder than the VCAA 2005 one?

It's only that friction is reversed isn't it?

But there's all this different acceleration relative to the ground stuff - like object has one acceleration relative to belt and another relative to the ground if it's slipping... do you have any questions on this, amongst all your other spesh resources... ;) ??

I saw the question that was on the 2005 paper but nothing else. I think my teacher said it's not in the study design anymore? I cant remember for sure tho...

Hmm okay but let's just say there was a question on this... if the belt was accelerating at 2m/s^2 and the object was slipping down at an acceleration of 0.5m/s^2, what would be the object's acceleration relative to the ground? Would it just be 1.5m/s^2 in the direction of the belt?
