Title: Extra classes to help out students?
Post by: acrimony on February 06, 2012, 12:21:41 pm
Is there any extra Chemistry or Biology classes to help out students with no Yr 12 knowledge of the subjects?

I'm doing Fundamentals of Chemistry and Biology of Cells and Organisms.

I understand Chem Fundamentals starts from the basics so I might not need extra classes for that, but I've heard Biology of Cells and Organisms may need some backround knowledge.

Will it be fine if I just stick to my timetable and attend classes without doing anything extra for these two subjects?

Cheers.

I do know that there are extra biology classes for non vce bio students. However for chemistry, I don't think that there are any extra classes. Just make sure to go to all tutorials, and for biology, the extra ones too.

There are Chemistry consultations in the chem library throughout semester.  Email the coordinator for times.

There are extra classes!  I can't remember exactly what they are called but you can register for them through the epsc so take a look on their website and see if you can find anything about it.
