can someone tell me how to do random selections on the cas?? i know its something like randlist( ..
but ive forgotten? any one able to help please?

Do you mean random numbers? I thought it was just rand()
EDIT: Disregard what is written above. I believe I misunderstood you. If you're using the TI-89, then type in randInt(). In between the brackets put in two numbers (separated by a comma) that you want the random numbers to generate between.
For example, putting randInt(0,99) will generate numbers between 0-99.
If you're using Essentials, I got this information from page 75. Is that what you're after?

You're welcome. So I guess you're using the TIN/CP version of the textbook?
Personally, I prefer the Classpad. I would have bought it if my school didn't get me to buy my TI-89 back in year 9.
