Title: Uni Email on phone?
Post by: bubbles21 on February 26, 2012, 07:37:39 pm
Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to setup email on the a smartphone. Maybe this is more a tech question but oh well.
When i setup the account on my phone, it always asks for SMTP server and POP3 server, anyone know what to put down?

Cheers

I wouldn't bother personally - I don't know about everyone else but I don't receive nearly enough relevant e-mails on my uni account to justify wanting to access it on my mobile.

I use mobile Hotmail though.

It depends on your phone's operating system. It's incredibly easy on Windows Phone 7, but what are you using? Android? iOS?

There are instructions of the Melbuni site but i couldnt get it to work on my iphone so i got the IT people to do it for me. Took around 10 minutes

You can just forward all your emails from your uni email to your usual email and then you don't have to worry about having several accounts.  That's what I do, I just forward them to my gmail.
