Hey guys,
Got DAV debating coming up, topic is 'That political party leaders should be directly elected by the Australian public'
I am negative and whilst i already have the bulk of my argument, i thought it'd be good to see what people think about this topic and in particular from the negative perspective

I think they should, because the leader represents the views of the general public and therefore the public should solely be able to vote for their government. Also because in parliament most politicians are just voting depending on what party they are from, and their views are often selfish and hence relying of politicians doesn't seem right :/
but I dunno its not ALL just SOME.

I do not follow politics at all but I know one thing.
Whatever happens, the public is always going to start crying about how shit it all is after the first couple of weeks.
