Post by: Flaming_Arrow on April 20, 2009, 04:26:06 pm
like where they say two masses are suspended throught a rope bla bla. find the acceleration

im wondering because there arent any questions like those in my textbook. Are they in the new study design?

I *think* they still are? Even if they are, they shouldn't be too hard to figure out anyway. Most of those pulley type questions are quite trivial.

Coz the book is so bad with questions, personally I am not a big fan of Jacaranda book. They have good explanations and theory but their questions just suck. I suggest you do checkpoints, they have a much better coverage of questions.

J/W, what textbook did you use?

As far as I know, connected particles in VCE physics don't go as far as pulley systems. The most complicated would probably be a car pulling a trailer up a slope.

though for specialist maths, pulleys are part of the course.
