Title: Just found out I got 12/20

Just found out I got 12/20 in my first SAC and am absolutely shattered right now cause I know I am far far better. This is not an excuse, but my teacher is actually an idiot, who missed 3 clear cut marks but is too stubborn to change them.

I have a goal of getting 45+ in BM, but after this what are my hopes like?

Honestly don't worry, one SAC is not going to heavily impact your goal as long as you perform well after this.
Just learn from this mistake :)

Everything is relative to your cohort. If your teacher marked you harshly most likely others had the same fate.

If there's one thing I learnt from VCE it's that your SAC scores mean fuck all. It's your sac RANK.

Don't worry too much. That's 20 marks out of a total of 100 for Unit 3. Work very hard for the rest of your SACs and you could quite easily get 90+ out of 100 (92/100 if you get full marks in the rest of the SACs which could potentially be scaled up by a lot after moderation). That being said, your actual mark doesn't matter. Your mark compared to the other students in your cohort is what matters. You could get 12/20 on every single SAC but if you are ranked number 1, it doesn't matter. Don't kick yourself over marks lost as nothing can change what has happened and definitely don't let one SAC that you didn't do very well on get the best of you. VCE is a mental marathon and you need to keep a positive frame of mind at all times. Best of luck :)

Obviously you want to do well in all of your SACs, but honestly what's truly important is demolishing the exam at the end of the day :)

Don't stress out there are plenty of more SACs to come where you can improve your ranking, scores mean nothing when it comes to SACs.

One of my friends lost 30 marks throughout the whole year and managed to get a 49 dont sweat about it

Can you please explain how can that be? What were his SAC scores and Exam scores like?

The logical possibility is he got #1 Rank on his SACS and absolutely annihilated the exam.
