Title: Voltage Amplifiers
Post by: jaydee on April 08, 2012, 10:45:34 pm
For inverting amplifiers, is the voltage gain taken as a positive value or a negative value?

If I'm not mistaken, voltage gain is the magnitude only, so you always state it as positive.

edit:
From VCAA 2009 Q6 Assessor Report:
"The voltage gain was the magnitude of the gradient of the linear section of the graph"
