Title: Question about CSPs and Full fee places
Post by: Starlight on April 15, 2012, 08:45:27 pm
What exactly is the difference? What GPA/ Gamsat score do you need for the CSP compared to a FFP for a postgraduate degree? , let's just say medicine for example.

CSP requires a higher mark, FFP requires slightly lower but paying more to compensate.

I think its like that..

I don't think you are looking at a significant difference, for example if you miss out on CSP then it is highly likely you'll miss out FFP as well because the difference between the scores would be minimal

Actually, there is a fair difference for medicine at Melbourne.  Take a look at the offers thread last year on Paging Dr to give you an idea.

The offers thread doesn't have any data about interview performance, since there are people with top GPAs and GAMSAT scores that got offered FFPs as well.

In general, yes, the difference isn't a lot because it's still quite competitive. Nobody can give you an estimate of the scores for each, because nobody knows. Just do your best.
