Title: Heinemann Textbook - Electronics
Post by: Wingtips on May 14, 2012, 06:31:30 pm
Hey guys,

Which sections of  photonics (Chapter 5) and electronics (chapter 4) are not in the current study design and don't need to be studied?

Cheers!

In the photonics section, there's a brief explanation about how transistors work, that's out of the course.
Also, I think laser diodes are still in the course (could be wrong) but i've never seen a question on it.
Just focus on, amplifiers, leds, ldrs, photodiodes, voltage divider stuff, modulation, demodulation, input and output transistors and the basic ohms law, parallel, series stuff. Ah and also thermistors.
