Title: Electronic Component Symbols.

Is it any point knowing a variety of component symbols for Area of Study 2? Or are they taking up pointless space on my summary sheet?

It depends if you know then well or not.
You should know the following components
-LED
-Photodiode
-Ampmetre
-Voltmetre
-Basic resistor
-LDR
-Battery
-Thermistor
-Variable resistor
If you know them then dont bother, also remember that the VCAA will normally label them and tell you what the components are.
It would probably be more beneficial to have what each of the more complicated components do on your cheat sheet.
