Can someone please help with how the structual formula of methyl salicylate Would look like, if i spelt that write. Thankyou.

It's just like any ester; the -ate bit refers to the acid which is involved and the -yl refers to the alcohol which is involved. So methanol+salicylic acid would result in an ester being formed between the two at the COOH part of salicylic acid. H2O comes out and a CH3 group from methanol adds to the COO.
