VCAA Legal Studies 2004 Exam Paper Q9a:

Explain the process of lawmaking by courts.  Include in your answer an evaluation of two strengths and two weaknesses of this process.

I haven't read the answer properly myself, but I figure some of it will be relevant to your question.
