Title: Veterinary Medicine?
Post by: Starlight on August 03, 2012, 06:56:46 pm
Hey guys, does anyone know how the system works for applicants to be chosen?

I mean, there's no admissions test like the gamsat, but it seems purely based off marks? But because of its competitive nature, what if everyone who wanted to apply all achieved H1 marks? :S

Afaik they have two different guaranteed entry schemes, so I guess if you weren't in either then there wouldn't be a lot of room left over and the cutoff might be over 80, yeah. Given that there are only 60 CSPs available, you might need to do quite well if you don't get into the accelerated Vet Biosciences stream

Would you say they'd distinguish candidates based on how high your h1s are?

I would think they'd have to, but I have no idea whether the cutoff is actually that high
