For my English context essays Im having alot of trouble with coming up with big ideas.
Could anyone suggests way which i can improve that ?
eg. my expository essay 'What matters is how you see yourself'

I chose family, school and the general community as my main three ideas. Rather than work out the three big ideas first, I chose my three outside sources and found big ideas that are associated with them: pushy parenting, peer pressure and the job interview scenario tie in well with the three big ideas I have already mentioned.
I hope this helps. Good luck with your expository piece! I personally found it much easier than the two imaginative pieces we had to do. :)

Good prompt. People who don't know who they are look at others to tell them who they are. This is why people upload picutres on facebook. Seeking validation that they are cool. The point is, don’t look to others to tell you if you have value; look at the price tag you put on yourself.

See, I said it was the opposite - whilst people will shape and guide your identity, no one can ever really tell you how to think about yourself. That is a personal choice that only the individual can make, and that very choice is influenced by existing aspects of the personal identity - such as a particularly strong desire to belong within a certain group.
