Title: The emphasis of the psychodynamic model?

Grivas covered Freud's psychodynamic model in the specific phobia chapter, describing it as being "based on the assumption that all mental disorders are caused by unresolved psychological conflicts...". However, there was only really one main psychological conflict they explored - the Oedipal complex. Is that meant to be the main emphasis of this model, and what VCAA examiners would have in mind when they put this on the study design? Or are there more elements to this theory that should have been emphasised more in my textbook? Thanks.  :)

I think that the Oedipal complex is the only one that you need to know because the book is talking about the psychodynamic theory in terms of specific phobia, which is why they only mentioned one conflict.
