Post by: DiMennzzaa on October 16, 2012, 10:23:08 pm
Is this real life?

This subject is effed.

It's not simply about remembering the entire design in the exam it's more so applying your knowledge to the questions (not relevant). Make dot points of each topic and just work of that by reading them on 2-3 times a week instead of reading the entire and expecting to remember every single bit of information (won't happen)

OK, so I know how overwhelmed you are feeling. I feel like that too. I sometimes question whether or not this is real life or whether I am living in hell. Who knows? Anyway, back to your question.

You really just need to simplify it and instead of trying to memorise every little thing, focus on the bigger points. Stick by the study design. Roughly go through each section and tick off when you feel comfortable for each. Also, another thing: DO HEAPS OF PRACTICE PAPERS AND QUESTIONS. I cannot stress thi enough. That is what is helping me. The questions are often quite straight forward and you just need to apply what you have learnt to the question.

Don't stress. Keep things simple and only learn what is necessary! You'll be fine. Good luck.

My technique:

I have a full, comprehensive set of notes that I made myself. I'm now focusing on practice exams. When I get the exams corrected, I identify any errors that I've made and head to my notes and study that area. It kind of means that I'm not wasting time on re-reading things I already know...
