I like to do a lot of messy working out (writing down every step) and draw on graphs and write down everything in the margins, even really basic stuff, like addition... and if I'm having trouble with a question, I'll look for room on the page I'm on (such as a blank space next to a graph) and figure it out down there before transferring some pretty working out to the space where the answer and working is meant to go.
Are we allowed to do this on exam 2? Will I penalised for it in any way? And am I allowed to make my actual answer more obvious by drawing a box around it or something?
Thanks!

It should be fine :) Make sure you write your correct answer on the lines/box provided.

What about with the graphs and relations module? So say for the inequality questions and you graph the set of inequalities. Then 2 questions later they introduce a new inequality but they don't ask you to graph it, can you still graph it on the first one? Or would you lose marks?

If you need to do that, draw the graph in pencil then rub it out since you could potentially lose marks if they mistake it for the previous question.

It's actually allowed if you indicate that the line was for a later part. :)
