Title: Holmes & Rahe’s - Social readjustment
Post by: lovatic on November 04, 2012, 11:03:14 pm
Ok so I never learnt this in class and it is not in any of my notes/summaries so I was hoping someone could explain to me exactly what this is? Do we need to know it anyway? I'm a little stressed about it incase it ends up being on the exam and I don't know what it is.

Thankyou  :)

Refers to the amount of forced change in the way an individual thinks, feels, behaves following the exposure to a significant event.

I believe there was a lifescale system as well, in which 200 points within 12 months made the individual more prone to illness.

I don't think we need to know it as it's not part of the study design but I would have a vague idea of what it is anyway :)
