I emailed the teacher about changing from English Language 3/4 to English 3/4, and the teacher said that I could only change if a student drops out or a teacher agrees to teach 26 students. Then the teacher said that because there's currently industrial action (strike?) the possibility of a teacher agreeing to teach 26 students is out of the possibility...I did a bit more research on both English studies, and I think that English is so much more suitable for me and I would enjoy it much more than English Language. I don't think I can wait for result because I really want to get a head start, but the school is so discouraging because its basically telling me to keep with English Language, and they are sure that I will enjoy and do well in it =.=
What should I do?

Get your parents to speak to the school. If they still refuse, then ask to do English via distance education. I did philosophy via distance ed and it didn't hold me back at all. I think I would have scored very similar marks if I'd done it in a school classroom.

Email your head of English, failing that, mail your head of senior school, failing that, mail the Principal.
Bring in the parents. (And make sure you write down clear reasons about why you need to change)
Fight for what you need (Y)

Thanks for the advice, but the email was from the assistant principal so.........

Email a teacher directly - surely there's one that would like you - and ask them to teach 26. Parent suggestion is also a good one. Distance Ed is also very viable - you would get to choose what books you do I'd assume. Could also change schools... Could be worth it than doing a subject you hatel
