Does anyone know how Heinemann and Maths Quest are in comparison to Essentials? :)
-
From information of past threads:
Maths Quest for better explanation of concepts, compared to Essentials.
Essentials for more difficult/better questions.
I can't say much about Heinemann.

My school used Heinemann. In my opinion the textbooks don't really make a big difference to your final score, they all teach the basic concepts pretty well and I think that's all you really need from a textbook. If you're looking for tougher questions then just do practice exams. From what I've heard though I think the Essentials is the best, followed by Maths Quest and then Heinemann.

I think essentials is pretty good for doing ques especially chapter review ones

My school used Essentials, though my teacher taught mainly from his own notes. I found Essentials useful primarily for practice and review; it's best for topics that you understand well, but want more practice in.
Maths Quest is useful for more basic information and explanations on a topic; I found that reading the Maths Quest explanation aided me in understanding the theory presented in Essentials.
I can't speak for Heinemann either; but judging from their other publications, I'd assume it's of a high quality and would be useful somehow :)

Essentials has terrible theory but amazing questions, especially if you're a stronger student who needs to be challenged.
Heinneman has really good theory, but the questions are simpler and more straightforward than essentials.
No idea about Maths Quest.

Thanks for all the input guys! Really appreciate it :)

Beyond Essentials, Heinemann and Maths Quest are there any other textbooks worth looking into?
