Do you guys know about the advantages and disadvantages of random sampling ,and also if u guys may have notes on them

Great that your doing psych( great subject!):
I think it is good to know! (ie. advantages= more represtitive sample, disadvantages: practical constraints in terms of time available)>> thats not a very good one, but i cant seem to remember any more :)
It may help knowing especially with the first SAC ( research report) , other research methods SACs and more importantly , the exam! :)

Advantages:
- Cheap
- Quicker (selecting the sample takes less time and time = money)
- Equal chance of getting selected
Disadvantages
- May not correctly represent all populations
That's all I can think of at the moment. It should be in your psych book. Which book are you using?
