Title: 1st Year Latin
Post by: Dallas45 on February 04, 2013, 02:07:26 pm
Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone has studied the first year sequence of latin (ATS1267 - Latin Introductory I)? Can anyone give an idea on the difficulty of the subject, quality of lecturer/lectures, assessment etc?

Cheers :)

An ex-girlfriend of mine did it last year, she did Latin Introductory I and II, and she didn't find it too hard. She had no LOTE experience beforehand, but she was telling me that if you didn't study for it you were screwed as there was a lot to understand (which usually is the case for languages at Monash).

So if you want to do it, be prepared to work.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, browsing online makes it look similar to french structure wise but more complicated. Thanks
