I don't have a solution (as I got nothing done either), but that's necessarily not a bad thing. Not many people I know actually got stuff done in study periods, they just saw that as a break and did that 40mins or so of study at home where there are less distractions.

Yeah you think "what could I do?"
And then you do it.

Don't take a laptop with you cause you will just end up searching random stuff on the Internet like I did

^^ ditto, youtube can be highly addictive. I spend hours each day sometimes learning about religion/politics/current events/news etc.
All very fascinating stuff~!

Because Melbourne High boys are really going to get anything done crammed into a library, unless they have a SAC next.

Apparently they've arranged all the tables so it's two students on each, all facing the teacher supervisor, and no talking allowed.

I used to just do questions for Bio, Chem and Methods, or I'd just read The Age, or I'd talk to people (40% of the time). Free periods were more of a chillax time for me...

For maths, skip questions but don't forget to come back..the idea is to get familiar with different things..if you don't come back later, you will definitely regret it as I did

I used study periods to relax and socialise. Some light reading would be sufficient imo.

For me it was the perfect time to gather my bearings and to plan the rest of the day/week/month.

Seriously? LOL

I remember in our study periods we'd be playing Starcraft, we'd toss stuff as high as we could without getting caught, heck we even just randomly left and hung around outside. Couldn't imagine actually doing work in a study period.

Ludo's contract would expire soon, guess he's keen on that re-hiring lolol (not that they wouldn't anyway, he's a fantastic principal.)

I don't recall ever doing much study during study periods. Especially at my school. Both the VCE centre and library were waaaaaayyyy too noisy to concentrate. Everybody was always mucking around.

I always utilised my study periods, seems like i'm the odd one out here haha.
What I usually did:

Do whatever you please, as long as you're not behind in work :p

Most of the time I just read a book. Maybe that's why I did so well in English :P.
