How do i solve question 2?

I substituted the values in but i don't think i'm doing it right :P

If the mean of 15 numbers is 1.867 then:
Let a = sum of all 15 numbers



As 14 of the numbers disregarding x  is 27
Then

1.867=(27+b)/15     

=> 28.005=27+b
=> 1.005=b

you can replace 'b' with any pronumeral
