How do i solve question 2?
I substituted the values in but i don't think i'm doing it right :P
-
missing x value is 1.005
-
How did you get that?
-
If the mean of 15 numbers is 1.867 then:
Let a = sum of all 15 numbers

As 14 of the numbers disregarding x is 27
Then
-
1.867=(27+b)/15
=> 28.005=27+b
=> 1.005=b
you can replace 'b' with any pronumeral
EDIT: BEATEN

If you don't mind me asking, what textbook are you using?
