Title: The mean or average problem

I substituted the values in but i don't think i'm doing it right :P

Let a = sum of all 15 numbers
$\frac{a}{15}=1.867$
$a=1.867*15$
$a=28.005$
As 14 of the numbers disregarding x is 27
Then $x = 28.005 - 27$
$x=1.005$

=> 28.005=27+b
=> 1.005=b

you can replace 'b' with any pronumeral
