Do we have to print them ourselves beforehand or do we get them given to us at the lecture?
-
If you want a hard copy you have to print them, quite rare to be given the lecture notes
-
Today at the calculus 2 orientation session, the lady said that we must purchase the lecture notes from the store, they're around $14. But arnt these the same as the lecture slides available as PDF on the LMS?
-
Probably, but once you factor in the money for ink and paper plus the binding costs which is around 6 bucks for that amount, it's just easier to buy the notes from the bookshop.

Fair enough. But I was planning on putting the PDFs on my iPad and doing the questions in a seperate exercise book. I'm not cheap or anything, that's just what I always did and prefer.

I don't think they provided the pdf for calc 2 semester 1 2012 so you might have to purchase it.

Like the others have said, most subjects require you to print off the lecture slides yourself.
The only exception is for level 3 subjects where there is a very low enrolment and a nice lecturer who will print the slides off for you. But even that is very rare. It's only happened once for me.

So does that mean we have to purchase both the tutorial notes+ lecture slides from co-op for every subject we're doing? I'm doing Enviro+calculus 1. Oh and just some quick questions, does the lecturer usually and solely rely on teaching through lecture slides or do they also write notes on the board? Did you also read the whole textbooks prescribed to you for your subjects? ;D ;D ;D Thank you and sorry for hijacking this thread with my many questions, I just want to do really well at Uni hopefully :)

For Calculus 1, the tutorial sheets are given out during the tutorial and available on LMS. The lecture notes you can buy from the bookshop and depending on who the course coordinator is, the notes may be up on the LMS and you can print them out as you wish but I will allude back to...
